Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew has stated that Abedi “Pele” Ayew is the best African player ever to play in the Ligue 1.

Abedi Yew, popularly known as Abedi Pele, is a Ghanaian former professional football player. He played as an attacking midfielder or forward. He also served as the Ghana national team captain. Thus, Abedi is widely considered among the greatest African football players ever. He won the UEFA Champions League in 1993 and was the first to win the CAF award in 1992.
