Jacinto Canek

Jacinto Canek was a Mayan revolutionary leader and activist hailing from Mexico, known for his role in leading a rebellion against Spanish colonial rule in the late 18th century. Born in the town of Cisteil in the Yucatán Peninsula, Canek quickly became a prominent figure in the indigenous resistance movement against the oppressive policies of the Spanish authorities. His leadership and bravery in the face of colonial oppression have cemented his legacy as a key figure in Mexican history.
