Tisha Campbell was born on October 13, 1968, to a middle-class African American family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her family, which included five siblings, moved to Newark, New Jersey shortly after her birth. Campbell’s love for the cinema goes back to her childhood. She started her career as a child artist in “The Big Blue Marble” when she was just six years old. In the next decade of her life, Tisha masterfully juggled school and acting. She continued to appear in shows, while completing her high school at Arts High School, Newark.
