Shannon Marie Kahololani "Shannyn" Sossamon (born October 3, 1978)[1] is an American actress. She has appeared in the films A Knight's Tale (2001), 40 Days and 40 Nights (2002), The Rules of Attraction (2002), The Order (2003), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), The Holiday (2006), Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006), Road to Nowhere (2009), The End of Love (2012), and Sinister 2 (2015).
As a musician, she provided vocals and drums to Warpaint from 2004 to 2008. She abruptly left the group after recording their first EP. Sossamon's sole recording with the band is the 2009 EP Exquisite Corpse.

Early life[]
Sossamon was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Sherry Sossamon and Todd Lindberg. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, and attended Galena High School there. She is of French, Hawaiian, Dutch, English, Irish, Filipino and German descent; her maternal grandmother is Hawaiian-Filipino, and her maternal grandfather is English-German. The y in her first name was an adolescent alteration in 1995. The day after her high school graduation, Sossamon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance.[1] Sossamon appeared in televisioncommercials and had DJ gigs in local clubs. In 1999, Sossamon was discovered by casting director Francine Maisler, while assisting a friend DJ at Gwyneth Paltrow's birthday party.

Louis Cody Sossamon (June 2, 1921 – February 11, 2019) was an American football center and linebacker who played three seasons with the New York Yankees of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). He played college football at the University of South Carolina, having previously attended high school in his hometown of Gaffney, South Carolina.
He is a member of the University of South Carolina and South Carolina State Athletic Halls of Fame.
Early life
Lou Sossamon was born June 2, 1921 in Gaffney, South Carolina. He attended Gaffney High School, where he demonstrated prowess on the football field.
College career
Sossamon caught the attention of head coach Rex Enright of the University of South Carolina (USC), who offered him an athletic scholarship to play football at the school.[1] Sossamon attended USC from 1939 to 1943,[2] distinguishing himself as a center on the offensive side of the ball and linebacker on defense.
