  Kira Kosarin grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, where she studied dance, music, and gymnastics. She attended Pine Crest School and trained in ballet at Boca Ballet Theater. She was born in New Jersey, America, on October 7, 1997, to an actress (former) mother and a musician father. Her parents are of Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity and come from Eastern Europe. She grew up in a highly creative environment, so acting, singing, and dancing come naturally to her.

  Kosarin was nominated for the Kids’ Choice Award, along with many others, in the Favorite T.V. Actress category for four years in a row. The winner was announced live on Nickelodeon in an event hosted by singer Nick Jonas.   Kira Nicole Kosarin(born October 7, 1997) is an American actress and singer. She raised to prominence with her role as Phoebe Thunderman on the Nickelodeon series The Thundermans.

  Early life[]

  Kosarin did dance and gymnastics in her early years. She studied ballet at Boca Ballet Theatre and attended middle school at Pine Crest School. Her parents were Broadway performers, her mother as an actress and her father as a music director, conductor and record producer, so she grew up acting, singing and dancing. After attending an "acting on camera" workshop, she fell in love with television acting and decided to move to Los Angeles, California, in 2011 to pursue a career in acting.
