Kitu sewer biography

Kitu Sewer the poet formerly known as K-Swiss is a veteran lyricist and poet. Originally rapping under a two man outfit Mashifta formed in the early 2000s. G Wiji and Kitu Sewer released a number of hit tracks including Pesa Pombe Siasa na Wanawake, System ya Majambazi, the latter being an underground hit. Their first Album was titled "Mashifta classics" released in 2004. Unfortunately this was their only album. The two artists went solo in *2005.

Kitu Sewer has kept at it releasing hit singles such as "Kushika Mic", featuring with other artists such as Moroko Kalahari, Abbas Kubaff and MC Mutant just to name a few. His music is largley conscious imparting street-wisdom to the youth, highlighting the wanton greed, ever growing ills of a materialitic society. He has collaborated many of such artists from the Ukoo Flani MAUMAU cartel. He has featured in Mchizi Gaza's "Maria" hit single released in 2007.

kitu sewer straight from the land where the sewer spilt from its channels till he met the pioneers n became the poet one of a force to reckon all thanks to God. Went mute for a while, now back again like never left the saga continues.

Where are u from, what was it like growing up?

I’m from the sprawling east lands estates namely dandora in Nairobi. Born and raised there for the better part of my life. Growin up was tough, just as u expected, hard but i have no regrets having the street education the hard way aaah!

What kind of hustles were people involved in?

Everyone was caught up in anything that could bring something on the table, though most lived hand-to-mouth. Some died while trying to live beyond their means.
