Detained Saudi hate preacher Nasser Al-Omar is known for his fatwas (religious edicts) against women, and his criticisms of moderation.

He is known for being affiliated to the former and current emirs of Qatar, and to the Muslim Brotherhood, a group designated as terrorists by many countries around the world.

He is a member of the Muslim Scholars Association, spearheaded by Qatar-based Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, one of the preachers of hate profiled by Arab News.

Born in the village of Al-Moraidasiih in the Saudi region of Qassim in 1952, Al-Omar completed his schooling in Riyadh’s Methodical Institute in 1970.

Muhammad bin Nasser Al-Aboudi, (Arabic: محمد ناصر العبودي; 1345 AH / 1926 AD - died 2 Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH / 1 July 2022 AD) was a Saudi writer, author and traveller, born in the city of Buraidah, and received his initial education there. Then he worked as a teacher and then director of the Scientific Institute in Buraidah. He also served as the Director and Secretary General of the Islamic University of Madinah for thirteen years. He held the position of Assistant Secretary-General of the Muslim World League. His work in the League and before that at the Islamic University in Medina as its Secretary-General allowed
