Madhuri Purandare is a children's writer from India who was inspired to write for children based on her experience working with preschools in rural villages. She realized there was a lack of quality literature available for children, especially those living in rural areas. To address this gap, she started writing stories, poems, and creating illustrations for a newsletter aimed at children. Through her work, she strives to authentically portray children's lives and understand the world from their perspective, without compromising on quality. While she does not have children of her own, she is able to connect with young readers through reflection on her own childhood experiences and extensive reading.
